Congratulations to the Westview Charger Football team for their defeat over Humboldt High School last Friday, the 26th. The score was 38 to 8. Our team is now 9-0. We will play Milan tomorrow night at home. Good going, Guys!.

 

The Drama Club is eagerly preparing for their fall production, A Night of Theatre. This will be first time the Drama Club has performed this year. The stage is set for Nov. 29th at 7:00 in the theater. Tickets will be sold at the door and will cost $5.00. The production will include a one act play and various monologues and scenes preformed by the students.

 

Anchor Club went to Martin Primary on Wednesday to promote Trick-or-Treat awareness among younger students. The Anchor Club is sponsored by the Martin Pilot Club. They do many service projects such as this. Skits were performed for the children on topics such as: checking your candy, dressing in bright colors, and going out in the neighborhood with a buddy.

 

The Westview High School band participated in a competition in Illinois on Saturday, Oct. 27th. They placed first overall as well as in many of the subcategories. This was their last competition of the season. We are very proud of all your hard work.

 

VE students will be hosting a Tailgate Party at the Milan Westview football game Thursday night. This is the beginning of the fundraising campaign to assist their going to New York for the International Trade Fair held in April. Tickets are $5.00 and cover a meal complete with ¼ chicken, baked beans, roll, chips, dessert, and drink.

 

FBLA finished their annual Barn Candle fundraiser. Thank you to all who purchased from us. Monies go to support our activities with March of Dimes, Special Olympics, and FBLA competitions. Delivery of items is expected before Thanksgiving holidays.
